The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Tucson, Arizona, were honored to host the Diocesan Religious Convocation for the brothers and sisters of the various communities that serve the Diocese of Tucson. The event took place on Sept. 17 at the Benedictine Sisters’ Tucson monastery.

The guest speaker was Dr. Anne Borik, DO from Chandler, Arizona. She is a Catholic physician who has created a system for energizing the human spirit.

“Along with explaining the benefits of prayer in motion, she taught us some of the various signs to religious songs,” Benedictine Sister Patricia Vereb, OSB said. “Then we prayed the songs with the movements. She ended her presentation with all of us praying in motion and singing the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.”

Tucson Bishop Gerald F. Kicanas shared events happening throughout the diocese and answered questions on various topics. The day concluded with Bishop Kicanas presiding at Mass in the monastery chapel.
