Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration Lucia Anne Le, OSB and Maria Victoria Cutaia, OSB joined tens of thousands of others to celebrate the 39th annual Marian Days, a festival and pilgrimage for Vietnamese American Roman Catholics.

The event, held to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, has taken place the first weekend in August since 1978 on the campus of the Congregation of the Mother Co-Redemptrix in Carthage, Missouri.

Attendees include Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese people from throughout the United States, Canada and Vietnam. The event provided several opportunities for fellowship and meeting people from all walks of life. Mass was held daily, and musical performances were shared at night.

“We had a vocation booth and were available to give out information about our life and works,” Sister Maria Victoria said. “We also had a drawing for some of our handmade gifts for those who stopped by the booth. I enjoyed meeting the people who came by  our booth and getting to know more about the Vietnamese Culture.”

While it was Sister Maria Victoria’s first time attending the event, Sister Lucia Anne, who was born in Vietnam, enjoyed participating in the festival that she attended once two decades ago.
