The Benedictine Sisters of Perpetual Adoration are celebrating Christmas in July with a sneak preview of holiday flavors at Prayerfully Popped, their retail gourmet popcorn store in Tucson, Ariz.
From Monday, July 23, through Saturday, July 28, people can sample and purchase holiday flavors of the Sisters' popular gourmet popcorn. The store, located at 1101 N. Wilmot Rd. in the Trader Joe's shopping center, will also offer a variety of other tasty treats crafted by members of other monasteries.
Store hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
Prayerfully Popped is one of the monastic works produced by the Benedictine Sisters to support their contemplative life. Their quality popcorn, made with natural ingredients, has become a fan favorite at Tucson Padres home baseball games and for friends and family and as corporate and business gifts.
"People enjoy purchasing such a wonderful and great-tasting product like our popcorn," manager Sarah Caniglia said. "Our customers tell us they love supporting the Benedictine Sisters and their life of prayer for everyone around the world. It's a way for them to be connected to the Sisters' ministry."
